Turning imperfect species detections into occupancy estimates, population trends, and reportable uncertainty.
A species not detected is not necessarily absent. Bayesian occupancy models account for that uncertainty instead of hiding it. We use repeated detections across space and time to estimate detection probability, occupancy, and population trends with clear uncertainty bounds for reporting.
